Preparation For the Weekend!

This weekened is the (5th?) annual Young People's Weekend of PEI! Last year was the only one I've missed, and it was for a good reason (SA!!!!). Except last year it didn't matter anyway, cause it was pretty much cancelled because of the weather. No worries.
The mess of the house from all the attic reno's is just unbelievable! Great time to have people come over to stay for the weekend...
This year I have a house full of girls staying here. Around 8 of them. I'm excited for each one that's coming, but I'm just a LITTLE excited to see ELAINE, MY S.A. PARTNER! This time last year, we were both in South Africa together. I haven't seen her since like, April of last year! Her, Janelle, Ben, and Sarah are all coming over from Cape Breton. The other guests will possibly be: Kara, Sarah, Brittany, Melody (Sat. night), and Rachel (Sat. Night).
Now you are likely wondering what in the world this weekend is all about! Well, here's the outline:
Saturday:
9:30/10:00- Outdoor activities (sledding, skating, snowshoeing, x-country skiing etc) at Mill     River Rodd.
12:00- LUNCH! Somewhere. Not sure yet...
1:30-5:00- Group activities at the O'Leary Elementary School, with Doug Yade (Guest Speaker this year).
5:00-9:00- Supper and Hymn Sing at the O'Leary Fire Hall.

Poley Weekend

Its been a weird winter so far this year, hardly feels like winter at all actually. More like spring or something. Every year in February, we go over to Sussex for the Days Meeting on Sunday, and Sunday School Treat on Saturday evening. During the day Saturday, we usually hit the slopes at Poley Mountain. Its pretty awesome, because there's always a whole bunch of other people there for the weekend that I know.
Last year was the first time I tried Snowboarding, as opposed to skiing, but only at Brookvale. So this year, I decided to buy all my snowboard equipment! Anyway, Poley was the first time I got to try out my new board, AND the first time snowboarding at Poley ever. It was pretty awesome. The only thing was, it was raining all day. By the end of it, Everyone was soaked. I went through 3 pairs of mittens. My legs were thoroughly soaked and my feet were shriveled prunes when I peeled my steaming socks off. It may sound like a but of a bummer, but I was quite happy! It was starting to get quite nasty outside when the treat started at 6:00. The rain had turned to snow, and it was blowing. After the Treat, we went to this place to have a sing song. It was quite enjoyable!
Sunday, once again, went very well, and very quick. Before I knew it it was time to pack up and head out. I decided to go with Ruth, Kara, Melody, and Emily home, instead of traveling with my parents. Why end the weekend so soon? We all squeezed in to Ruth's Forte, and followed Joel back to The Island. It was a good trip back. When we got across the bridge, we went to the Esso where Emily had left her car for the weekend. All along joking that we wouldn't be able to find it amongst all the snow. "Wouldn't that be funny if it was covered by a snowbank!" hahaha
Ya, we laughed.
Until we got there.
And looked for the car.
We stared in dis-belief. There was no way her car was actually gone. We went inside only to find out that the car had been towed! She had checked for a no parking sign before she parked there, but failed to see the sign that said "15 minute parking only." Poor Emily. They got the number for Johnston's Towing, and we arranged to meet the guy. They made it very clear that they do not usually offer such services on the weekend. Thanks guys. We finally got everything straightened out, and we were all headed to our respective homes after a wonderful weekend!!

This is from our much belated "Raynor Supper." We usually have this around the Christmas Holidays, but this year it didn't work out, so we had it now.

I tried to snap a few pictures, but Uncle John was too quick for me! :)

Our sweet jump made of snow pushed up to the A-frame building.

Testin the rails at the stunt park thing (can't think of the name right now).

Now, the following pictures were taken by various people, as I wanted them to kill the battery of my camera so I could charge it. This is the ONLY place you'll find these pictures! They are probably going to kill me for this...

Candid camera. We are havin a blast!

Love you! ;)

You knew what was going on.....

So did you.... :)

Rebel

Me and the folks just negotiated a deal. Well, I don't know if you'd call it a negotiated deal. If you did it would be a lop-sided negotiated deal. Anywho it might just be easier to say I came up with this idea myself.  So anyways, I came up with this idea, that every 2 weeks I have to have my science module done, and test completed and passed in to be corrected by none other than my teacher (not) my mother. If I fail to pass it in on time, it will be therefore classified as "late" and I'll be slapped with a $5.00 late fee. Its a pretty stupid idea to come up with myself, I know. Your probably thinking, "Is she delayed upstairs or something?" But I guess I just want to prove that I can do it. Or something like that. More like I want to have a deadline for myself like all the other kids who go to "actual" school. Which is why I'm on this here interweb right now, instead of working on my science! I'm just "fitting in"!! All the teenagers are doing it these days! For example, I'm on Facebook and I look and see someone's status:
"Aww man hav this like supr huuuuugge test comin up tmr and hav to study!!! but i dont fell like it LOL"
So I get out my "techy dictionary" and start to decipher through all the spelling errors and on to the grammatical errors. By the time I get the deciphering done, theres like 15 likes, and about 32 comments, half of which is the person who is supposed to be studying for the test.
Well, that $5 is burning a hole in my pocket, almost as bad as my eyes are from being tired. To all my fans out there (the three of you), hope you have a splendid day, and I'll be updating more often. Maybe. Hopefully. A little reminder is good every now and then (EH CRISTY) inside joke. sorry everyone. Love you all. Happy late Valentine's!
