Balancing

You can't spend too much time in the books, or you'll turn into a...... um........ smart person or something....... and nobody wants to be TOO smart- RIGHT? That's right. So in order to balance yourself out, you have to have a bit of FUN!!! :) We did exactly that, on Thursday night, when we went to downtown Charlottetown and did some outdoor skating in front of Founder's Hall, on the COLDEST NIGHT OF THE YEAR so far. We had a great time! We even played Blob Tag! Afterwards, we went to Boston Pizza, and ingested all the calories (and more) that we'd just burnt off! It was SO DELICIOUS!
Bundled up like Eskimos and it was STILL cold!

Graceful Andrea!

Nice covering of the face there Melody.... From left: Lana, Emily, Andrea, Shianne, Julie and Melody (face is covered)

Please note: This piece of delightfulness was EVERY bit as good as it looks!

University Life

I'm living the life of a Nomadic (look it up) University Student! It's epic for sure. I am definitely lovin this new era of my life, so far, as it is quite a change of pace from my usual home-schooling. Random Fact: No one even knows I'm Homeschooled! haha
So, let's talk a but more about my Nomadic experience thus far. For the first week, I had the pleasure of staying with my aunt and uncle Chris and Rachel who live in Darlington, which is about 15 minutes away from UPEI. From there, I moved two houses down the street to the MacLeod's residence, which has a pretty cool story behind it (I think so anyway...)! Rachel and Kara (My movie-making colleagues) asked me to stay there, while their folks were going away for a while. I thought this was a great idea, and now that is where I currently reside! It's all quite an exciting time for me, lots of freedom which brings lots of responsibility with it, to make it an overall learning experience. My other movie-making colleague, Melody, also attends the University of Prince Edward Island with me, and we have 2 classes together! yay!
Now, for some pictures!

(Aunt) Rachel has such good ideas!

My bedroom for the week!
The Miner's sure know how to cook!
Move number 2: To the MacLeod residence

Wilma knows how to look after her children! She prepared lots of meals and froze them, to be cooked at our leisure....

Perogies!!!!

Such a cozy spot....

New Years

Say goodbye to 2012 and say hello to 2013! It has been quite a year, for sure, full of excitement, new experiences and obstacles overcome. I realize how blessed I am when I look back over the year, and see all the things I take for granted each and every day.
Hindsight is 20/20.
The best "New Years resolution" that you can make for this coming year is to live it for The Lord. I always lose sight of how short this LIFE is, yet a YEAR is even shorter. I don't have as much time as I think ahead if me.
If you do not know Christ as your Saviour, there is no better time than now to get this matter settled. To have the assurance that you will be in heaven when you die, would be the BEST way to go into 2013!

"What must I do to be saved?"
"Believe on The Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shall be saved."
Acts 16:31
