Warmer Weather Ahead!

Today was a wonderfully warm day! Not so much in the morning, but just as I was getting ready to go to work the sun came out, and it got warmer. Go figure! Tomorrow I have an Orthodontist appointment in Charlottetown, where I will see if I need a mouthful of metal or not. I'm leaning more towards the not.
I'm excited to be going to another conference again this weekend, this time in Fredericton. I love conferences, especially the first few after a LONG winter without going to any. Well, I better get my beauty sleep if I want to get up to watch the Royal wedding at 4:00 tomorrow morning. Not. The wedding would be interesting, but not enough for me to drag myself out of bed at that time! Goodnight!

Mr to Misses

We were slightly bored and wanting some entertainment when we thought up this idea, to dress up the boys- as girls! So here's the pictures! :)

Easter Weekend!

Its been a great weekend here in Bridgewater, NS, as we've been attending the annual Bridgewater Conference. I hitched a ride over with The MacLeod's, of Darlington Rd, and sat in between Kara and Melody, in the back seat. We arrived at the Meekin's at around 4:10, then we were off to the Hall for supper and prayer meeting at 5:00. The next morning we left the house to get to the school for the first ministry meeting at 10:00. It was a nice day outside, a little chilly, but nice, refreshing after a couple hours sitting on your rear. As usual, the day flew by, and before we knew it the first day was over. I had a hard time deciding whether or not to go to the sing song or not, having opinions from both sides. Micheal on one, and Kara on the other. In the end, Kara came out on top, and I headed back to the Meekin's to relax. The next morning we left again to be at the school for 10:00. It was an even more warmer day than Saturday, so we played some basketball for a while on the basketball court. After another 2 and a half hours sitting, it was supper time, and we loaded up on subs. Usually I don't care for subs, but this time, I loaded up on mustard, and boy, it was the best sub I've ever had at a conference! The people were dispersing left right and centre, and numbers were down to about half by the time the Gospel Meeting started. It was a fantastic weekend, but it went by way too fast!

Kara on the swing, enjoying the spring air, before we got in the car for the 4 hour drive.

All we're missing is Rachel.  :(

Brilliant, new little family.

I'm Dreaming of A White... Easter?

I must say, I find it rather depressing when it snows at the end of April. I know its just one of the harsh, bitter realities we have to live with here in upper North America, but I just can't help it. I still remain optimistic though, as I soon make my way over to Bridgewater conference for the weekend! Yay!

As I was walking home from work last night, I didn't forsee the giant lake of a puddle lying in my wake. I trudged my way straight through the middle of it, severely soaking both of my feet with muddy water. I was NOT impressed!

Wake up in the morning to S-N-O-W.

Lovely table spread to the finest!

Happy birthday Wilma! :)

CAUTION

The following pictures may be disturbing to some viewers.
If you have problems regarding:
                 ~Worms

                 ~Internal organs of worms
please do not look at the following pictures.

Ok, now time for my post. On Monday, as I was doing my science work, I decided to dissect a worm. Normally the idea of worm dissecting would be weird and slightly gross to me, but since that's what I was learning about in science, I thought I'd give it a try. I collected all the necessary tools, Mom's tweezers (don't worry, I sterilized them when I was finished), nail scissors, sewing pins, scalpel knife, styrofoam plate, aluminium foil and, of course, my camera. Once the worm was all opened up, I found it kind of fascinating to see, in real life, all the structures showed in my textbook!

Fitness Frenzy

Well, not exactly a fitness frenzy, but a physical well-being shaper-upper. It all started when I got back to real life, and the side effects of 10 days straight of buffets and eating out started to show. Not only that, I haven't really done much exercising since I was in school, which may I remind everyone, was 2 years ago. To the point of my story, now I have taken up jogging, about 20-25 minutes a day. It was quite exhausting for the first few days, but by the end of the first week, now I very much enjoy it! Kara and I both just bought a chin-up bar, for the purpose of being able to actually do chin-ups. We are going to see how many chin-ups we can do by P.E.I. conference. This should be interesting. Well, I'll sign off for now, so I can enjoy eating my Hugs and Kisses cheesecake. ;P

Eat Eat Eat

I never thought I'd see the day where I'd be sick of going out for supper. But I tell ya, the way I felt for the past 10 days, the feeling of being STUFFED, really makes you change your mind. Like to the brim stuffed.  Throughout our vacation we hit the Golden Corral (all you can eat buffet), Cici's (all you can eat pizza buffet), Dutch Heritage (we got the buffet), Sweet Tomatoe's (buffet) and on the way home on Thursday, we went to the lunch buffet at Pizza Hut! Let me tell you, that's a LOT of eating! Besides the buffet's we also went to a few other restaurants like Sugar n Spice, Texas Roadhouse (awesome!) and Applebee's. Every restaurant was really good, and all served big portions!

Look at the luggage.

We were bored, so Emma and I lined up the luggage from biggest to smallest. They wouldn't all fit in a perfect line, so we had to curve it a little at the end.
