Baddaford and A Cancelled Game

It was another gray day when I woke up this morning. I got ready for the day, then went into the bustling house. The kids were getting ready to go out the door for school, and they were all keyed up for a croquet match they were having against St. Andrew's School this afternoon. When Gwen left with the kids, Mark showed me what he wanted me to do for a design for a flyer to give out about the iKhaya Levangeli. At around 8:30, we all left to go in town with Mark. He went into Jeff's Sports to get a soccer ball for some guys who came to the iKhaya Levangeli. We then went to the iKhaya Levangeli to meet Gwen, and from there we went out for a treat at Baddaford Farm Stall! I got rostile (roastekoek) and a banana milkshake, and a piece of pecan pie with icecream. Everything was excellent! We decided to go back to the house for an hour, then we headed out again. Mark and I got dropped off at the building again, and when we pulled up, who wasthere but the 13 year old boy from yesterday! He actually smiled and waved when I waved at him! Gwen and Elaine left and took the boy with them to drop him off at home. From there they were going to the school to pick up the kids, then meet us, and we'd all go to see their croquet match. Mark and I  changed the sign at the building, then headed to meet the others. Just as we were going to go into the gas staion, Gwen called and said that the croquet match had just been cancelled. All the kids were disappointed, but they got to come home early which wasn't too bad. All afternoon I mostly worked on the flyer for Mark. For supper we had chicken, potatoes and gravy (that Elaine made with Gwen's direction, and it was delicous!). It then started to rain outside, which limited everyone's outdoor activities. For dessert we all endulged in Southern Bars, aka Dolly squares! We had a bit of free entertainment at one point when the neighbor's little pig got loose in their yard. The pig was sqealing and dodging the 2 men who were chasing it! It got the neighborhood dogs all going as well. It was sweet victory when the guys finally caught the pig and put it back in the cage! What a great way to end the evening!
Hopefully I can put pictures on tomorrow (the internet is too slow tonight!).
