Ok here is yet more pictures to recap the first of my trip for those of you who want to see it!
Semour.
Mark helping the kids, most of the kids here can't speak English at all.
Caleb helping the kids with their word search.
After the Children's meeting in Semour, we drive up a street to do some open air preaching. Cameras that are publicly shown would likely be taken away, so I tried to discreetly get a picture. |
Another picture of Semour. Sorry, but I think it's just gorgeous! |
This was my first time shopping at Jumbo! I absolutely love this place now! They sell brand name clothes that we love in North America, for really cheap! |
Mama Ndika stirring a big pot of rice at the iKaya Levangeli, on the night of the Young Men's Supper. |
An intense game of rugby going on here. Note the guy on the left in mid fall. |
Yep, his shirt did get ripped after this. |
Showing me how she can carry things on her head! |
Mama Ndika's daughter, Busisiwe, stirring the rice. |
Finishing off the last of the left-overs. |
Sun setting over the village. |
People going through the "rubbish" (as South African's say). Such a sad thing to see. |
Trip to the dump on a mountain outside Fort Beaufort. It was quite the experience. Those boys in the trailor, once we drove away, they started going through our garbage, and were happy to find a broken barbie, and Thando's old ripped kids book. It was so sad to see this level of poverty first-hand. |
Me and Mama Ndika. |
The extraordinary view of Semour! What an amazing place! This picture was taken the first time I went to the children's meetings. |
This is the view from the backyard, of the house! |
Playing more rugby, this time its on Friday evening, Youth Club.
Nice catch! |
There was a big dispute between the teams, mostly between this guy in the yellow, and Caleb. It was quite amusing to observe. |
Highlight of the action shots, right here. |
Good game (entertainment) guys! :) |
This was playing a game where the person in the middle tries to make someone laugh. The first person to laugh has to go in the middle. It was a really fun game, and the only people who didn't laugh was Calvin and Caleb. |
Even though these have already happened...you put different pics on for some! :) It's cool 'cause I have already seen the others! I enjoy reading your blog!! :)
